August 2024: Steady Growth in China’s Titanium Dioxide Production

September 05, 2024 – China’s titanium dioxide production showed a steady growth trend in August 2024. According to statistical data, the output of titanium dioxide sample devices reached 370,200 tons this month, representing a month-on-month increase of 4.31% and a year-on-year growth of 4.81%. This growth was primarily driven by the gradual resumption of production by companies that had undergone maintenance, coupled with the absence of significant new maintenance issues during the month, thereby boosting overall production.

In terms of capacity utilization, it reached 75.86% this month, an increase of 2.86 percentage points from the previous month. Although the capacity utilization rate decreased slightly by 4.07 percentage points compared to the same period last year, this figure still indicates steady industry development considering the current market environment and production status.

According to AsiaMB, the domestic titanium dioxide market exhibited general stability with minor adjustments in August. Despite fluctuations in market prices, the overall market stability provided a certain operational guarantee for production enterprises. In the current market environment, the ability of titanium dioxide producers to maintain a relatively stable operational state is crucial for the long-term development of the industry.

Overall, China’s titanium dioxide production maintained steady growth in August, and the market demonstrated a certain degree of stability. In the future, with the further recovery of market demand and continuous innovation in production technology, the titanium dioxide industry is expected to usher in a broader development space.
