Ningxia Coal Industry Olefins Second Branch, in collaboration with the Coal Chemical Industry Technology Research Institute, has recently accomplished a significant milestone. They have successfully trial-produced a “three highs” polypropylene product, named 1084P, characterized by its high crystallinity, rigidity, and heat resistance. This achievement signifies a crucial breakthrough in domestic research and development of such polypropylene products, potentially reducing the Chinese market’s reliance on imports.
The “three highs” polypropylene, renowned for its exceptional physical properties like high rigidity, hardness, superior heat resistance, and a shorter molding cycle, finds widespread applications in various household appliances. These include heaters, rice cookers, and coffee pots. The newly trial-produced 2000 tons of this product are about to be priced and launched into the market. Its anticipated selling price is expected to be 200 to 300 yuan higher per ton compared to existing products, promising greater economic benefits for the company.
To ensure the smooth progress of this trial production, according to AsiaMB, the Olefins Second Branch attached great importance to it, with the general manager personally leading the team to guide the trial work. During the trial period, the company arranged technical management personnel for 24-hour uninterrupted monitoring, paying real-time attention to changes in production data and making timely adjustments to any abnormalities. This ensured the stable operation of the entire production system.
