Kingfa Breaks Barriers: Building a Sustainable Plastics Empire in Europe and Beyond

May 18, 2025 -In the intensely competitive global new materials sector, Kingfa Science & Technology, a trailblazer in the industry, is spearheading a green and low-carbon transformation through innovation, reshaping industry dynamics. In 2024, the company surpassed a milestone by selling over 285,900 tons of eco-friendly, high-performance recycled plastics globally. Leveraging proprietary technologies such as “AI Sorting + Green Washing” and a comprehensive industry chain strategy, Kingfa has not only achieved efficient recycling of waste plastics but also garnered widespread recognition from international authorities, including US FDA food-grade certification and TÜV Rheinland’s ocean-bound recycled plastic certification.

To further its globalization strategy, Kingfa has set its sights on North America after solidifying its presence in Europe and Southeast Asia. On April 21, 2024, the groundbreaking ceremony for Kingfa’s construction project in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, marked a significant step in the company’s North American expansion. This project, positioned as Kingfa’s second major production base in North America following its Detroit facility, spans a vast area and is designed to produce 300,000 tons of high-performance modified plastics annually, encompassing both general-purpose and engineering plastics. Targeting high-growth sectors like automotive, home appliances, and electronics, the facility aims to provide localized services tailored to American markets. As per Color Masterbatch Industry Network, the project is slated for commissioning in June 2026, leveraging the group’s robust platform capabilities, integrating R&D with global supply chain strengths to create a benchmark factory combining smart manufacturing and green sustainability, empowering clients to achieve lightweighting and carbon reduction goals.

Kingfa’s innovations in eco-friendly, high-performance recycled plastics have also yielded remarkable results. In October 2024, the company led the completion of the “Integrated Technology and Industrial Application for Upgrading and Recycling Mixed Waste Plastics” project, which clinched the first prize at the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards. This project, through breakthroughs in intelligent fine sorting, efficient cleaning, and low-carbon recycling technologies, established a comprehensive industrial solution for mixed waste plastics, securing numerous domestic and international patents. Furthermore, Kingfa pioneered a “stepwise recycling process for waste plastics,” achieving internationally leading technical and economic indicators. To overcome the limitations of physical recycling technologies, the company collaborated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and other research institutions to develop chemical depolymerization technologies for recycling complex materials like multi-layer composite plastics. In recycling chain development, Kingfa has built a plastic waste recycling network spanning industrial, agricultural, domestic, and marine sectors, forging long-term partnerships with numerous high-quality recycled plastic suppliers and establishing multiple resource recovery hubs.

Notably, Kingfa’s European market (layout) has also seen significant progress. On February 19, 2025, Kingfa Environmental Technology Spain officially commenced operations, with the successful implementation of its Phase I 30,000-ton eco-friendly, high-performance recycled plastic project, signaling Kingfa’s successful entry into the European recycled plastics market. Domestically, the completion and acceptance of Guangdong Kingfa Science & Technology’s 10,000-ton large plastic block crushing project further enhanced supply chain synergy. In market applications, Kingfa’s recycled plastics strategy focuses on high-end scenarios, with its eco-friendly, high-performance recycled plastic products widely adopted in sectors including home appliances, packaging, automotive, home furnishings, IT electronics, and office supplies, forming a complete value loop.
