Dubang Photoelectric Ushers in New Era of Optical Technology in Nanyang

August 07, 2024 – Inside the Photoelectric Industrial Park of Henan Dubang Photoelectric Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Dubang Photoelectric) located in the high-tech zone of Nanyang City, modern production facilities such as the main workshop building, power center, and finished product warehouse are rapidly emerging. Workers are busily and orderly engaged in equipment installation and trial production, signaling a new development opportunity for Nanyang’s photoelectric industry.

Guided by technicians, this reporter ventured into the production workshop and experienced the wonders of “light” firsthand. Here, optical functional films can exhibit diverse colors under different lighting conditions, truly achieving color changes as desired. The DMS camera module’s smart lens can intelligently determine whether a driver is fatigued by monitoring blink frequency. Meanwhile, the nano-coated film on glass effectively resists temperature changes caused by varying external light intensity, demonstrating impressive practical performance.

According to AsiaMB, the trial production of the Dubang Photoelectric Industrial Park project is significant for optimizing the optical film industry layout, promoting high-quality development of Nanyang’s photoelectric industry, and establishing China as a hub for films. Bi Wenjiang, General Manager of Dubang Photoelectric, stated that this project fully demonstrates the technological and scaled manufacturing advantages of super-hard functional optical films, significantly contributing to the rise of Nanyang’s photoelectric industry and the construction of a modern provincial sub-center city.

The Dubang Photoelectric Industrial Park project has a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan and covers an area of 120 acres. It will provide “an annual production capacity of 24 million pieces of tablet computer display panel accessories” for BOE and “an annual production capacity of 200,000 industrial internet display large-screen panel production” for Huawei. Additionally, it will support the national project with “an annual production capacity of 700,000 special super-hard functional coating production.” The project is expected to achieve an annual sales income of 2 billion yuan, a profit of 150 million yuan, and create employment opportunities for more than 500 people.

From quantitative accumulation to qualitative leap, and from point breakthroughs to systematic capability enhancements, Dubang Photoelectric, established in 2015 as a super-hard coating manufacturer, is increasingly exhibiting a strong “tech vibe” with its scaled, standardized, automated, and intelligent production lines. After three technical transformations, the company’s self-developed “Dubang Film” technology has been widely used in products such as tablets, smartphones, monitoring windows, and car central control systems, receiving unanimous praise from major end customers.
