Shangrao Unveils Major Waste Plastic Processing Expansion: Jintong’s 150,000-ton Center

September 29, 2024 – The Shangrao Ecological Environment Bureau has recently unveiled a significant expansion and renovation project, titled “Proposed Acceptance Notice for the Environmental Impact Report of Jintong’s Annual 150,000-ton Waste Plastic Sorting and Dismantling Center.” This ambitious venture is situated within the existing factory premises in the western industrial zone of Chating Economic Development Zone, Chating Area, Shangrao. With a total investment of 105 million yuan, the project boasts an annual processing capacity of 100,000 tons for PET bottle flakes and a production capacity of 50,000 tons for recycled plastic pelletizing.

Shangrao Jintong Recycling Resources Co., Ltd., established in January 2015, resides in the Shangrao Recycling Resource Circular Economy Industrial Park. It stands as a pivotal component of the Ministry of Commerce’s third batch of pilot projects for recycling and utilization systems of renewable resources. The company specializes in the construction, production, and operation of waste plastic projects, currently operating a 20,000-ton annual output line for recycled PET polyester bottle flakes and a 5,000-ton annual output line for recycled plastic particles. Its products find extensive applications in various industries, including chemical fiber, sheet materials, blown film, pipe drawing, and injection molding, demonstrating its robust strength in the field of renewable resources.

According to Color Masterbatch Industry News, to further propel the development of the plastic recycling industry, the 30th China Plastic Recycling and Regeneration Conference (ChinaReplas) and the 7th China International Plastic Recycling Exhibition will be grandly held from October 22 to 24, 2024. This prestigious event will gather numerous industry elites to delve into hot-button issues within the plastic recycling sector. The forums will cover a range of topics, including the proportional use of recycled plastics, plastic packaging for consumer products, innovative applications of post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials, primary recycling of recycled materials, chemical recycling, and design for recyclability and regeneration. The ultimate goal is to drive innovation and sustainable development within the plastic recycling industry.
