Since the beginning of 2024, Wuzhou City has vigorously promoted the “three hundred billion” major project engineering plan, with all levels and departments actively taking on responsibilities, collaborating, and jointly providing solid element guarantees for the projects. Through multiple concurrent measures, the progress of project construction has been rapidly advanced, and significant progress has been made in multiple key projects, injecting strong impetus into the high-quality economic and social development of Wuzhou City. Among these projects, the forest-pulp-paper integration project of Jianhui Paper Co., Ltd. is particularly noteworthy.

This major project of Jianhui Paper is located in the Tengxian New Material Industrial Park, with a total investment of up to 16.8 billion yuan and covering an area of 3,131 acres. It is an important high-end papermaking project introduced by Tengxian from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The project has not only been listed as a major project at the autonomous region level but also received attention and promotion from leading officials at the department and bureau levels in Wuzhou City. Its main raw materials are agricultural waste and bamboo, which are used to produce self-made pulp and manufacture various products such as corrugated boxboard, high-strength corrugated base paper, food grade cardboard, and handbag paper using recycled paper. After the project is put into operation, it is expected to greatly promote the development of surrounding agricultural specialty industries and provide more opportunities for rural residents to increase their income.
According to the Color Masterbatch Industry Network, the construction of office buildings and factories for this project is nearing completion, and currently, they are busy with equipment procurement and preparatory debugging work. It is expected that the project will be officially put into operation in the fourth quarter of this year. Once fully operational, its annual output value is expected to exceed 30 billion yuan, which will provide a strong impetus for the construction of the whole industry chain ecosystem centered on forest-pulp-paper and titanium dioxide in Tengxian, further laying a solid foundation for the strategic goal of “rebuilding an industrial Wuzhou”.
