An innovative environmental practice is being implemented in the production workshop of Guangdong Yuanhui Environmental Protection Fiber Co., Ltd. in Puning City, Jieyang. Discarded plastic bottles undergo a complex and meticulous process, including sorting, high-temperature flotation, crushing, drying, extrusion melting, spinning, and winding, before being magically transformed into recycled plastic products – polyester staple fibers. This marks a stunning transformation from waste to resource.
Yuanhui Environmental Protection, as a leading domestic enterprise in recycled polyester bottle flake processing, specializes in the resource recovery and reuse of PET waste plastics, ushering in a new era of fiber production specifically for sewing threads. Established in 1996, the company is located in Yuanhui Industrial Zone, Tangkeng Village, Xiajiashan Town, Puning City, Guangdong Province, covering an area of 150,000 square meters, with an investment exceeding 200 million yuan and an annual output value of up to 1 billion yuan. According to information from the Color Masterbatch Industry Network, Mr. Ma Juncai, the deputy general manager of Yuanhui Environmental Protection, proudly stated, “For every ton of discarded plastic products we recycle, we can produce nearly 0.95 tons of polyester staple fibers.”
The application fields of polyester staple fibers are extremely diverse, mainly divided into yarn spinning, filling materials, and nonwoven fabrics. In the textile, apparel, and home furnishing industries, yarn spinning and filling materials play pivotal roles, while the application of nonwoven fabrics extends the use of polyester staple fibers to the medical and engineering fields, where they have demonstrated indispensable value in recent years. “Through resource recovery and processing, waste plastics are no longer a thorny environmental issue but have become a ‘golden key’ for driving industry innovation and green development,” Mr. Ma shared excitedly.
Regarding policy support, Mr. Ma recalled the “reverse invoicing” policy introduced by the state in April this year, which has created a more favorable tax environment for the resource recovery and utilization industry. Although the company initially had questions about the specific application of the policy, timely promotion and explanation by tax officials not only allowed the company to enjoy a prompt VAT refund of 9.54 million yuan but also deepened their understanding of national tax policies. These tax incentives have provided Yuanhui Environmental Protection with a powerful “green tax” boost to further explore technology upgrades and enhance resource recycling efficiency.
