October 23, 2024 – Shandong Port Logistics Group has announced the successful launch of a new sea-rail express line connecting Jiaozuo, Henan Province, with Qingdao Port in Shandong since July. This innovative initiative links inland cargo sources with maritime resources through an efficient sea-rail transportation mode, opening up a fast and efficient logistics channel for numerous titanium dioxide export enterprises, including Lomon Billions Group. Remarkably, within just three months of operation, the express line has already shipped over 10,000 tons of titanium dioxide and helped customers reduce their overall logistics costs by 10%.

The Yubei Inland Port of Shandong Port Logistics Group, located in Jiaozuo, Henan Province, has significantly expanded the logistics channels for import and export enterprises in the Henan region since its operation on November 29, 2023. For industry giants like Lomon Billions Group, the Yubei Inland Port not only marks the beginning of a new era of “road-rail-sea” multimodal transport but also provides robust support for the global distribution of its products. Lomon Billions Group, the world’s largest producer of titanium dioxide using the sulfate process and China’s largest producer using the chloride process, has an annual production capacity of 650,000 tons at its Jiaozuo production base, making it the largest single-site titanium dioxide production facility globally.
According to AsiaMB’s sources, Lomon Billions Group achieved significant growth in both production and sales of titanium dioxide in 2023, with total output reaching 1.1914 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 20.36%, and total sales reaching 1.1589 million tons, up 24.93% year on year. In the international market, Lomon Billions Group has been particularly impressive, with its titanium dioxide exports accounting for 30%-40% of China’s total titanium dioxide exports, and this proportion continues to grow. Currently, Lomon Billions Group’s titanium dioxide exports are mainly concentrated in Asia and Europe, with Asia accounting for 52% of the market and Europe for 21%.
As China becomes the region with the largest titanium dioxide production capacity and output globally, exports have become a necessary way to meet the demand of the global market. Statistics show that in 2023, China’s titanium dioxide production capacity accounted for about 56% of the global total, with production reaching approximately 4.2 million tons, an increase of 8% year on year. In the same year, China’s titanium dioxide exports reached 1.6418 million tons, accounting for about 40% of the annual production capacity and an increase of 638,400 tons compared to 2019, a significant increase of 63.62%. China’s titanium dioxide exports are widely distributed, with exports to 154 countries and regions in 2023. India was the largest export market, accounting for 15%, followed by Brazil, Turkey, South Korea, and other countries.
The opening of Shandong Port Logistics Group’s sea-rail express line not only provides logistics convenience for titanium dioxide enterprises such as Lomon Billions Group but also serves as an important driver for China’s titanium dioxide industry to go global. In the future, with the opening of more similar logistics channels, the global competitiveness of China’s titanium dioxide industry is expected to further enhance.
