Revalyu’s Ambitious Expansion: A Boost for PET Circular Economy

November 15, 2024 – Revalyu Resources, a global leader in chemical PET recycling, has announced the official opening of its second PET recycling plant in Nashik, India. This significant milestone not only highlights Revalyu’s strategic layout in the global PET recycling market but also substantially boosts its production capacity to meet worldwide customer demands. Currently, the Nashik facility processes over 20 million discarded PET bottles daily, converting them into 160 tons of high-quality PET pellets and polymers through efficient transformation. These materials play a crucial role in packaging, textiles, automotive parts, and other sectors, aiding customers in achieving green and sustainable development.

Revalyu’s ambitions extend far beyond this achievement. The company plans to construct another plant by the third quarter of 2025, with an investment of $100 million. The new facility is expected to add 120 tons of daily recycling capacity, increasing the total recycling capacity of the Nashik plant to 35 million bottles per day and total output to 280 tons. These expansion efforts fully demonstrate Revalyu’s robust strength and firm confidence in the PET recycling sector.

Since its inception, Revalyu has been committed to addressing the issue of post-consumer PET waste. Leveraging its patented glycolysis recycling technology and advanced automation systems, the company has achieved efficient, scalable, and profitable plant operations. This innovative technology not only effectively processes used PET plastic bottles but also produces sustainable ester chemicals at a lower cost. Compared to traditional PET production processes, Revalyu’s recycling method reduces water usage and energy consumption by 75% and 91%, respectively, while maintaining the quality of recycled PET on par with conventional products. Furthermore, Revalyu is continuously exploring new technologies to expand the range of materials it can process, including polyester textiles, PET packaging, and PET films, driving the realization and breakthrough of PET circular economy technologies.

Revalyu’s dedication to technological innovation is evident in its allocation of approximately 5% of its annual budget to research and development. The company’s founder states that the current period is a transformative time for the PET plastic recycling industry, and Revalyu’s new plant stands as a testament to this change. Looking ahead, Revalyu plans to further expand its global presence by building a PET recycling facility in the United States with a daily capacity of 240 tons and actively seeking global partners, aiming to increase its global daily production capacity to over 1,000 tons by 2030.

As a key driver of the global plastic circular economy, Revalyu Resources is leading the PET recycling industry towards a more efficient and sustainable future with its innovative chemical recycling processes. The successful application of this technology not only sets a benchmark for sustainable development within the industry but also opens up new opportunities and broad prospects for the global plastic recycling sector.
