Pucheng Clean Energy Chemical Advances with Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene Project

【Color Masterbatch Industry Network】July 25th news, Pucheng Clean Energy Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. has recently made significant progress on its 40,000-ton-per-year ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene project, as the soil and water conservation plan for this initiative has successfully passed expert technical review and is currently undergoing public notification. This milestone marks a substantial step forward for the company in terms of environmental protection and sustainable development.

Previously, the company commissioned Shaanxi Zhuocheng Tianhong Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd. to prepare the relevant soil and water conservation plan report. In July 2024, experts were invited to conduct a technical review. After rigorous evaluation, the experts unanimously approved the soil and water conservation plan for the project. Currently, the report is undergoing a 10-working-day public notification period, which runs from July 22, 2024, to August 2, 2024.

Furthermore, according to the Color Masterbatch Industry Network, on May 14th, Pujie Nenghua held a management planning review meeting for the MTO and olefin separation unit’s potential-tapping and efficiency-enhancing renovation project, as well as the 40,000-ton-per-year ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene project. During the review meeting, the company provided a detailed report on the background and basic situation of these two projects, while the planning unit delivered an in-depth explanation of the management plan. After careful examination and discussion, the expert panel put forward a series of reasonable suggestions.

It’s worth mentioning that upon completion, the MTO and olefin separation unit renovation project is expected to increase the unit’s processing capacity by 30%. Additionally, the by-product, double olefin, will be used to produce high value-added, high-end polyolefin new materials. The ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene project, which uses this new material as its primary raw material, aims to produce 40,000 tons of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene annually. This project represents a key initiative for Pujie Nenghua in strengthening and extending its industrial chain.

Moreover, on July 15th, the company also conducted the first public notification for the environmental impact assessment of the ethylene oligomerization pilot project to prepare 1,000 tons of high-carbon α-olefins. The project, covering an area of 5,741 square meters, plans to build a new annual output of 1,000 tons of high-carbon α-olefins equipment and other supporting facilities. These series of actions demonstrate Pucheng Clean Energy Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.’s ambition in the field of chemical new materials and its unremitting efforts to achieve green and sustainable development.
