On July 15th, Pingtang County, Guizhou, witnessed the official signing ceremony between Zhongnenghua (Guizhou) Mineral Resources Development Co., Ltd. and local authorities, marking a significant step towards advancing the construction of Pingtang County’s Calcium-based Material Rich Ore Fine Mining and Resource Deep Processing Demonstration Base.
This project, a key investment by a central enterprise, is expected to involve a total investment of approximately 7.8 billion yuan. Over the next three years, it plans to sequentially establish production lines for high-activity calcium oxide, high-specific surface area calcium hydroxide, nano-level calcium carbonate and modified powders, as well as food-grade calcium carbonate and calcium hydroxide. Concurrently, resources will be allocated for manufacturing related equipment for calcium-based material production and advancing the comprehensive construction of the industrial park. Once fully operational, the project is expected to achieve an annual output value of about 4.64 billion yuan, contributing approximately 350 million yuan in value-added tax to the local economy.
According to insights from Color Masterbatch Industry Network, Pingtang County is actively developing a calcium-led industrial chain, focusing on product refinement, modern equipment, and scientific management. The signing and implementation of this project will effectively integrate Pingtang County’s calcium industry resources, attracting more calcium-based material production enterprises to settle in the industrial park, jointly promoting the formation of a hundred-billion-level industrial cluster. This initiative not only supports the expansion of industrial scale and enhances agglomeration effects but also positions Pingtang County as a demonstration hub for calcium industry development in southern Guizhou.
