October 18, 2024 – Xixia County, located in Nanyang City, Henan Province, is emerging as a significant hub for calcium carbonate powder production, leveraging its abundant calcium carbonate mine resources. These mines, characterized by their large reserves, exceptional whiteness, and high purity, provide ideal conditions for the manufacture of premium-quality calcium carbonate powder. Moreover, Xixia County’s strategic location in the Central Plains, with a population exceeding 200 million within a 500-kilometer radius, offers a vast market and immense potential for the calcium carbonate-related industries.
In the village of Yangtian, Miping Town, Xixia County, Nanyang Yuhengcheng New Material Co., Ltd. is diligently advancing its 300,000-ton annual heavy dust-free calcium carbonate project. This endeavor, benefiting from Miping Town’s superior marble mineral resources, has successfully attracted investment from Jiangxi through an innovative “business-to-business” recruitment model. According to the Color Masterbatch Industry Network, the implementation of this project will not only facilitate the effective conversion of local resources but also inject new vitality into Xixia County’s economic development.
The project, with a total investment of 128 million yuan, covers a planned area of approximately 46.5 acres and a total construction area of 16,380 square meters. It is being developed in two phases. The first phase, which has already invested 60 million yuan, has completed the construction of office buildings, production workshops, raw material warehouses, and other ancillary facilities, along with the successful establishment of six ring roller mill production lines. Currently, the first phase has been successfully completed and is in operation. The second phase, with a planned investment of over 68 million yuan, will focus on the construction of additional production workshops and ancillary facilities, along with the establishment of four vertical mill production lines. It is anticipated that the entire project will be fully completed and operational by the end of December 2024. By then, the project’s annual output value is expected to reach 150 million yuan, significantly contributing to the extension and improvement of Xixia County’s new material industry chain, as well as promoting the optimization and upgrading of the local economic structure.
