New Milestone for Guosen in Pharmaceutical Packaging with 5,000-Ton Production Line

January 18, 2025 – Guosen Color Printing Co., Ltd. has successfully commenced operations of a new production line for pharmaceutical packaging materials with an annual capacity of 5,000 tons at the Yahu Salt Lake High-tech Industrial Development Zone. This project, specializing in plastic composite films, pharmaceutical aluminum foil, and polyethylene blown films for packaging, marks a significant step forward for the company in the field of pharmaceutical packaging materials.

With a total investment of RMB 100 million, the project spans across a vast area of 16,600 square meters. It features multiple advanced production lines, including three for pharmaceutical composite film materials, one for pharmaceutical aluminum foil, one for pharmaceutical low-density polyethylene bags, and two for polyethylene films. Additionally, a research and development center and supporting facilities have been established, providing robust support for the company’s continuous innovation and development.

The project is implemented in two phases. Phase one has already completed the construction of two pharmaceutical composite film material production lines, one pharmaceutical aluminum foil production line, as well as warehousing and supporting facilities, covering an area of 12,650 square meters. Phase two will further enhance the company’s production capacity with the construction of an additional pharmaceutical composite film material production line, one pharmaceutical low-density polyethylene bag production line, two polyethylene film production lines, and supporting facilities.

AsiaMB has learned that the project has introduced the most automated printing, laminating, and online inspection equipment in China. The printing machines utilize electronic drive technology without mechanical transmission shafts, achieving a speed of 400 meters per minute with stable operation and low noise. Moreover, the project is equipped with the newest automatic inspection system in China, which integrates online printing inspection with the inspection machine to ensure that every printed product undergoes automatic scanning and comparison with standard samples, effectively eliminating defective products.

Furthermore, the project has implemented ERP and MES management software systems and is equipped with intelligent devices such as handling robots and automatic bag-sorting robots, laying a solid foundation for the company’s intelligent transformation. The introduction of these new devices has not only increased production capacity but also enabled the company to produce multi-channel, ultra-wide automatic packaging rolls for pharmaceuticals. Simultaneously, it has enhanced the company’s research and development capabilities, paving the way for its entry into the high-end pharmaceutical packaging material market.
