Henan Province Breaks New Ground in Circular Plastics Economy

Central China’s plastics recycling sector has reached a pivotal moment with the successful launch of Zhongzai Su (Xuchang) New Materials Co.’s pioneering recycled PE production line. This milestone represents the first operational component of Henan’s premier high-value plastic recycling industrial park.

Located in Yanling County’s Advanced Manufacturing Development Zone, the state-of-the-art facility forms a key part of Chengfa Environment’s comprehensive circular economy industrial park. Industry sources reveal the ambitious project will eventually house twelve production lines capable of processing 300,000 metric tons of plastic waste annually upon full completion in May 2026.

The newly operational PE line employs cutting-edge processing technology that transforms post-consumer plastics into premium-grade recycled material. Company executives project total annual revenues exceeding 1.5 billion yuan once all PET, PP, and PE production lines become operational next year.

“This facility establishes new benchmarks for circular economy practices in central China,” said a senior project engineer. “Our closed-loop system ensures plastic waste gets multiple lifecycles through advanced sorting and purification processes.”

The industrial park’s innovative “networked collection, centralized processing, value-added utilization” model combines collection hubs with specialized production lines. Blueprints show plans for Central China’s most comprehensive carbon-neutral plastic recycling base, featuring dedicated R&D facilities to push technological boundaries in material recovery.

Market analysts highlight the project’s strategic timing as China intensifies its carbon neutrality commitments. “This facility positions Henan at the forefront of high-value plastic recycling,” commented a Shanghai-based sustainability consultant. “Their focus on material quality rather than just volume could redefine regional industry standards.”

For color masterbatch producers, the development signals growing demand for compatible additives as recycled content requirements tighten across packaging and manufacturing sectors. AsiaMB will continue tracking how such large-scale recycling investments impact raw material supply chains across Asia.
