Leju Technology: Transforming Plastic Bottles into a Green and Low-Carbon Future

August 07, 2024 – The journey of a plastic bottle after it’s tossed into a recycling bin remains a mystery to many. Today, let’s delve into the green and low-carbon adventure of a plastic bottle by exploring Shanghai Leju Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Leju”).

Leju, a technology-driven supply chain management company integrating smart packaging, transportation, and warehousing, is committed to advancing environmental protection through innovative technologies. On its first floor stands a terminal recycling machine for plastic bottles. These recycled bottles undergo a series of processes including sorting, cleaning, crushing, and granulating, before being transformed into various regenerated products. Notably, as a leader in domestic environmental protection pallet operations, Leju’s new generation of pallets incorporates up to 30% recycled material, setting a new benchmark in plastic recycling.

Leju Xinsheng, a new division under Leju dedicated to zero-carbon packaging, focuses on the research, development, design, production, recycling, and cleaning of circular packaging. Cheng Jingjing, the vice president, revealed to reporters that “the crushed and cleaned plastic particles can be widely used in various plastic products in our daily lives, including washing machines, refrigerators, TVs, cars, and more.” This innovation not only provides a new source of raw materials for plastic products but also significantly promotes the development of the plastic circular economy.

Excitingly, Leju has planned production lines that are expected to be fully operational by 2028. By that time, the total production capacity of its circular packaging will reach an astonishing 15 million pieces, and the total production capacity of recycled plastic will reach 400,000 tons. This massive production capacity will not only bring a large number of environmentally friendly products to the market but also provide strong support for the treatment of plastic pollution. Cheng Jingjing stated, “We are accelerating the deep integration of the real economy and the digital economy, providing the entire society with a completely dynamic logistics packaging recycling service system.”

Furthermore, Leju’s circular packaging and regenerated new material industrialization projects are steadily advancing. Fujian Leju Xinsheng Resource Recycling Co., Ltd., as one of Leju’s important layouts, has launched the first phase of its circular packaging and regenerated new material industrialization project (Phase I). This project mainly provides supporting services to enterprises around the park, including shared pallets, circular IBC containers, FFS heavy packaging films, and other products. According to the project registration form, the second phase of the project will also be launched soon, with a planned annual recycling and processing capacity of 30,000 tons of high-performance recycled PCR raw materials and an annual cleaning capacity of 400,000 containers. The implementation of this project will further promote the recycling of plastics and the development of regenerated new materials.

In summary, Leju is leading the new trend of plastic recycling with its unique innovative technology and environmental protection philosophy. Through continuous exploration and implementation of new recycling methods and technological means, Leju is striving to create a greener and low-carbon future for us.

  1. Have you ever considered about adding a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is valuable and everything. But think of if you added some great photos or videos to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with pics and clips, this site could certainly be one of the very best in its field. Fantastic blog!
