Guangdong Longyuan Industrial Co., Ltd. has recently secured a patent authorization from the National Intellectual Property Administration for its “Precision Addition Device for Color Masterbatch in Injection Molding Machines.” The application for this innovative technology dates back to December 2024.
The patented device boasts a sophisticated design, featuring a feeding hopper seamlessly connected to a feed tube at its base. Inside the feed tube, a shaft rotates smoothly, with multiple distribution blades evenly spaced along its surface. These blades, akin to precision gears, regulate the flow of color masterbatch as they are driven by the shaft. One end of the shaft is coupled to a stepper motor via a coupling, ensuring precise power transmission.
According to Color Masterbatch Industry Network, the device’s novelty lies in its precise control system. Upon being added to the feeding hopper, the color masterbatch falls into the gaps between the distribution blades. At this point, the PLC controller exerts its intelligence, accurately controlling the number of rotations of the stepper motor, which in turn precisely regulates the frequency of the blades’ rotation. This design guarantees that the color masterbatch is gradually and precisely dispensed into the injection molding machine’s feed inlet, neither too much nor too little, thereby safeguarding the accuracy and stability of the addition amount and providing a robust guarantee for the quality of injection-molded products.
