Reports indicate that in just the first half of the year, the company successfully developed five new polyolefin products. The proportion of new products and specialized materials has increased by 2.18 percentage points compared to the same period last year, reaching a new historical high.
With economic benefits as its core focus, Guangzhou Petrochemical has adopted a differentiated development path through the implementation of tailored strategies for each product and enterprise. The company has actively promoted the research and development of new products and specialized materials. To more accurately grasp market dynamics, Guangzhou Petrochemical has intensified market research efforts and implemented dynamic adjustment strategies. They closely monitor market prices and product sales, conducting detailed economic benefit calculations for each product grade. Through flexible operational strategies, the company dynamically adjusts the product mix and production plans of its three polypropylene plants to maximize efficiency with an optimized production schedule. Statistics show that in the first six months, the output of plate materials from the No.1 polypropylene plant surged by 118% year-on-year. The No.2 plant increased production of the specialized material CJS700 to meet market demand, with output rising by 11% compared to the same period last year. Impressively, the output of the “ternary” series of products from the No.3 plant achieved a nearly sevenfold increase.
It’s worth mentioning that the new ternary copolymer polypropylene product, F4008, belongs to the high-end polypropylene series and is primarily used in the production of cast films. This product, characterized by low soluble content and a low heat-seal initiation temperature, is highly suitable for household plastic products and food packaging films. Its excellent steam resistance and impact resistance indicate a promising market prospect.
As we entered July, Guangzhou Petrochemical’s No.1 polypropylene plant once again started producing V-2 flame-retardant polypropylene, marking the third production run for this material. This polypropylene product, known for its excellent flame retardancy, rigidity, and heat resistance, finds widespread applications in power sockets, sanitary ware, and other fields.
