Guangdong Yisike’s High-End New Materials Project Clears Fire Safety Inspection
The carbon four and carbon five-based high-end new materials project, constructed by China National Chemical Engineering No. 13 Construction Co., Ltd., has successfully passed its fire safety inspection, marking a critical milestone for the Guangdong-based initiative.
As a key project under Guangdong’s green petrochemical industry plan, the Yisike development represents a substantial investment of 7.33 billion yuan (approx. $1 billion USD) and spans 634 acres in the Dayanhai Petrochemical Industrial Zone, Jieyang City. The site is strategically positioned south of Petrochemical Avenue, east of South District Vertical Road, and north of Hainan Ring Road.

Operated by Guangdong Yisike New Material Technology Development Co., Ltd., the facility will feature seven core production units, including a 500,000-ton/year carbon five separation system, a 150,000-ton/year maleic anhydride plant, and a 60,000-ton/year elastomer unit. Construction commenced in June 2023, with additional infrastructure such as two 250,000-ton/year carbon five separation lines, an 80,000-ton/year SIS/SEPS unit, and dual 35,000-ton/year petroleum resin plants.
Notably, the project allocates 150 million yuan toward environmental protection measures, underscoring its commitment to sustainable production. Upon completion, the complex is expected to bolster China’s high-end materials supply chain, particularly in specialty chemicals and advanced polymers.
Local authorities highlight the project’s alignment with regional industrial upgrades, reinforcing Guangdong’s position as a hub for innovative petrochemical solutions. Further operational timelines will be announced following additional regulatory approvals.
