Collaborative Innovation: HUGO BOSS’s NovaPoly Sets New Standards in Textile Sustainability

May 23, 2025 – HUGO BOSS Group has made a significant stride in sustainable fashion by collaborating with suppliers Jiaren New Material Co., Ltd. and NBC LLC to introduce NovaPoly, a groundbreaking recycled polyester yarn. This innovative product not only showcases the group’s prowess in eco-friendly material development but also signals an impending transformation in the fashion industry.

As reported by the Color Masterbatch Industry Network, HUGO BOSS Group holds the trademark rights for NovaPoly and enjoys exclusive usage during its first year of launch. The group aims to set new industry standards with NovaPoly and plans to open up patent licensing to fashion industry peers in the future, fostering collective progress in sustainable fashion. As a key component of the BOSS THE CHANGE initiative, the introduction of NovaPoly marks another solid step in HUGO BOSS Group’s sustainable development journey.

Tailored specifically for the group’s BOSS and HUGO brands, NovaPoly is currently limited to in-house use. However, HUGO BOSS is actively establishing a patent framework to enable broader adoption of this innovative fiber material across the industry. What sets NovaPoly apart is its utilization of both pre-consumer and post-consumer textile waste as raw materials. By incorporating natural additives, the yarn gains the ability to degrade naturally in the environment. This innovation not only bolsters HUGO BOSS Group’s strategy to combat microplastics but also reinforces its leadership in sustainability.

Starting from October 2025, products featuring NovaPoly will be available to consumers through BOSS’s online platforms, boutiques, and selected retail channels. As part of the BOSS Spring/Summer 2026 athleisure collection, NovaPoly will be integrated into select functional apparel items, offering customers a more environmentally friendly and stylish wearing experience. This move not only demonstrates HUGO BOSS Group’s unwavering commitment to sustainability but also sets a new benchmark for the entire fashion industry.
