Shanxi’s Textile Revolution: Bory New Materials Launches High-Tech Fiber Production
A new chapter begins in China’s advanced materials sector as Bory New Materials Technology Co. officially commences operations of its 3,000-ton high-performance fiber facility in Changzhi’s Shangdang District. The 90-million-yuan Phase I project establishes Shanxi Province as an emerging player in specialty textile manufacturing.
The state-of-the-art plant features fully automated production lines with digital monitoring spanning from raw material processing to final packaging. Initial output focuses on polypropylene BCF and twisted set yarns, specifically engineered for premium tufted and Wilton carpet applications. “Our proprietary formulations deliver unmatched bulkiness, softness, and luster,” explained Zhang Xianjun, Deputy General Manager, highlighting the company’s breakthroughs in biomimetic fiber technology.

Phase II development plans reveal ambitious expansion into polyester/nylon composites, targeting high-strength, low-shrinkage technical textiles. When completed, the complex is projected to generate annual revenues of 150 million yuan with 12 million yuan in profits, while creating 100 skilled jobs.
Beyond economic impact, the project stimulates regional development through upgraded packaging and logistics infrastructure. Industry analysts anticipate Bory’s innovations will position Shanxi as a key production hub, potentially reshaping North China’s textile supply chains.
