April 2, 2025 – BASF Unveils Innovative High-Flow Material: Ultrason® D 1010 G6 U40 for Electronics Industry
BASF has recently launched an innovative high-flow material, Ultrason® D 1010 G6 U40, developed based on a polyethersulfone (PESU) blend, specifically designed to meet the demanding requirements of the electronics and electrical industry.

This cutting-edge Ultrason® material not only boasts excellent flow properties but also maintains stable electrical performance at lower processing temperatures, providing manufacturers with greater design flexibility. Remarkably, the use of Ultrason® D 1010 G6 U40 can reduce processing temperatures by 12.5%, effectively cutting energy costs, which is a significant boon for companies pursuing sustainable development.
According to industry insights from Color Masterbatch Network, Ultrason® D 1010 G6 U40 is particularly suitable for the manufacture of high-end electronic and electrical components such as precision switches, circuit breakers, sensors, IGBTs, and semiconductor parts. Its outstanding chemical resistance, high-temperature tolerance, high rigidity, and strength ensure that the material maintains exceptional performance under harsh operating conditions. Furthermore, its excellent thermal stability, low moisture absorption, and high dielectric strength make electronic and electrical components designed with this material highly reliable and safe, even in smaller and thinner forms.
Notably, Ultrason® D 1010 G6 U40 incorporates halogen-free flame retardants and boasts an impressive electrical RTI value. With a V-0 (UL 94) rating for 0.4mm thickness and a PLC level 3 classification, along with a CTI value of 200V, these exceptional properties position the material for widespread application in the electronics and electrical industry.
