February 26, 2025 – BASF India Breaks Ground on New Cellasto® Microcellular Polyurethane Plant in Dahej
BASF India has recently commenced construction on a new facility in Dahej, aimed at enhancing its production capacity for Cellasto® microcellular polyurethane (MCU). This move aligns seamlessly with BASF’s new “Winning Formulas” strategy, as the plant will incorporate cutting-edge technology and automation systems, ensuring that the production process adheres strictly to BASF’s high standards of safety and quality control.
Slated for official commissioning in the second half of 2026, the new factory will initially introduce a state-of-the-art molding line to cater to the burgeoning demand in the Indian market. Cellasto®, which established its first plant in Dahej in 2014, upholds the philosophy of “Made in India, for India,” providing exceptional noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) reduction solutions for the automotive industry.
