December 31, 2024 – EU Initiates Anti-Dumping Investigation on Barium Carbonate from China and India
On December 20, 2024, the European Commission officially announced the launch of an anti-dumping investigation into barium carbonate products originating from China and India. This move follows an application submitted by the EU company Kandelium Group GmbH on November 5th. The barium carbonate products under investigation are classified under the EU’s Combined Nomenclature (CN) code ex 2836 60 00, with the corresponding TARIC code being 2836 60 00 10.
According to the European Commission’s notice, the dumping investigation phase will cover the period from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024. Meanwhile, the injury investigation will span from January 1, 2021, until the conclusion of the dumping investigation period.
