Academician Jin Zhengyu’s Team Drives Myande’s Starch Deep-Processing Advancements

March 23, 2025 – The Myande Grain and Oil Deep Processing Academician Collaborative Innovation Center was recently unveiled, marking the second academician workstation established by the company within two months. Led by the team of Academician Jin Zhengyu from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the center focuses on technological breakthroughs and the transformation of research outcomes in core areas such as modified starches, starch sugars, and their derivatives.

According to sources from the Color Masterbatch Industry Network, Academician Jin Zhengyu emphasized at the unveiling ceremony that the application value of starch far exceeds public perception. He noted that starch can not only replace traditional plastics, serving as an eco-friendly material in the food packaging sector, but through technological innovation, the value of a ton of starch products can be elevated to hundreds of thousands or even millions of yuan, showcasing the immense potential of the starch deep-processing industry.

Zhou Bin, Director of Myande’s Starch Fermentation Product Line, stated that the breakthroughs made by Academician Jin Zhengyu’s team in new technologies for starch derivative processing will bring revolutionary changes to Myande’s starch deep-processing equipment business, helping the company seize market opportunities ahead of competitors.
