A Closer Look at Jusailong’s Modified Plastics Expansion and Innovation

December 15, 2024 – Jusailong Unveils Ambitious Expansion and Innovation Plans in Modified Plastics Industry

Jusailong, a leading player in the modified plastics sector, has recently disclosed its investor relations activity record, revealing its latest layouts and advancements. With three major production bases in Guangzhou, Wuhu, and Chongqing, the company is demonstrating its strong confidence in future growth. Notably, the Guangzhou and Wuhu Phase II bases are key projects funded by its initial public offering (IPO), underscoring its commitment to expansion.

The Guangzhou Phase II base has already commenced operations, adding 50,000 tons of modified plastic product capacity with an investment of 80 million yuan. This not only bolsters Jusailong’s production capabilities but also strengthens its position in downstream applications such as home appliances and automotive. Meanwhile, the Wuhu Phase II base is progressing rapidly, with an expected capacity increase of 100,000 tons and an investment of 210 million yuan.

Furthermore, Jusailong has established a production base in Chongqing, aiming to add another 50,000 tons of modified plastic product capacity. This base, funded through a convertible bond issuance, has a two-year construction period and is poised to expand the company’s market share in the Southwest region.

In addition to expanding capacity, Jusailong is also focusing on circular and renewable materials. According to Color Masterbatch Industry News, several of its products have obtained PCR certification. By optimizing product formulas, the company has not only enhanced product performance but also reduced costs. Moreover, Jusailong’s R&D team is actively exploring the development of elastomer materials, with related products already in the research and certification stage, poised for widespread application in the automotive and wire & cable sectors.

Recently, Jusailong acquired a 38-acre industrial plot in the Jubao area of the Aotou Industrial Base in Conghua, Guangzhou. It plans to build a new material R&D project with a total investment of 200 million yuan and an annual output value of approximately 600 million yuan. This project will focus on R&D in green environmental materials, ultra-light and high-strength materials, and high-carbon composites, injecting new vitality into the high-quality development of the modified plastics industry.

Looking ahead, Jusailong intends to establish a unified platform for the rapid conversion of new technologies and products, building on its existing R&D department. The company will continue to monitor trends in specialty engineering plastics, green environmental materials, ultra-light and high-strength materials, and the industrialization of high-carbon composite materials, striving to provide customers with superior products and services. Additionally, Jusailong’s Deputy Chief Engineer and R&D Director, Yuan Haibing, disclosed the company’s three key focuses in technology product planning: enhancing the development and application of new quantized and low-odor materials for automotive; exploring high-performance, polymer composite materials for emerging sectors such as photovoltaics, electric vehicles, and e-bikes; and developing high-quality recycled materials for the plastics industry.
